Press Ganey, the national leader in healthcare consumer and workforce engagement, recognizes and honors data-driven advancements in healthcare, and recently announced the nationwide recipients of its annual performance achievement awards. Shriners Children’s was honored with a record number of awards for 2022: a total of 14.
“These 2022 Press Ganey performance achievement awards are meaningful to us as a reflection of what we do here each and every day,” said John P. McCabe, executive vice president of Shriners Children’s. “Over the past 100 years, we’ve been committed to serving patients and their families by providing amazing medical care in a compassionate, family-centered environment, and we now look forward to continuing that mission for the next 100 years.”
This year, Shriners Children’s was honored with nine Guardian of Excellence Awards®, which honor organizations that have achieved the 95th percentile across Press Ganey clients for patient experience, employee engagement, physician engagement or clinical quality performance. Most notably, Shriners Children’s Chicago earned 4 of the 14 awards presented across the Shriners Children’s healthcare system in 2022:

- Canada – Patient Experience, Inpatient Pediatric
- Chicago – Patient Experience, Medical Practice; Physician Engagement, Physician Experience – Hospital; Physician Engagement, Physician Experience – Academic

- Hawai’i – Patient Experience, Inpatient Pediatric

In addition, the healthcare system received five Pinnacle of Excellence Awards®, which recognize those who have maintained consistently high levels of excellence over three years:
