Once again, Shriners Children’s has been recognized as one of healthcare’s standout organizations for its ability to accommodate patients and families and provide quality clinical care.
Press Ganey, a renowned nationwide healthcare consultant, has honored Shriners Children’s with a record number of its excellence awards for 2023 – 15 in total, one more than in 2022 and more than the system has ever received.
“Year after year, we are recognized by Press Ganey, and I believe that consistency comes from a genuine culture of caring,” said Bill Munley, administrator for the Shriners Children’s Southeast market.
Press Ganey works with more than 41,000 healthcare facilities. As part of its mission, it conducts nationwide surveys of patients, physicians and other provider employees to assess their experience, satisfaction and engagement. The organization also compares the clinical quality of its client hospitals and clinics. The awards are based on these surveys and measures.
Nine Shriners Children’s locations won a Guardian of Excellence Award, meaning their patient experience, caregiver engagement and clinical quality scores place them in the top 5% of providers nationwide.
In addition, five locations received a Pinnacle of Excellence Award, which recognizes top-performing organizations that have maintained their quality for consecutive years.
